ZLAKUSA TOURIST VILLAGE – position

The village of Zlakusa is situated in Western Serbia, Zlatibor District. It is located in the River Djetinja Valley, on the river’s right bank, beneath Gradina (altitude: 931m). Once a village populated by poor potters, today it is a major centre for the manufacture of the “Serbian-style Zepter cookware” and European pottery, and for rural tourism in Serbia.

It is situated at the centre of a triangle, at equal distance from three capitals including Belgrade (Serbia), Sarajevo (Bosnia-Herzegovina) and Podgorica (Montenegro), on the trunk road linking Belgrade with the other two big cities, and halfway between Uzice and Pozega. The village, located 188km southwest of Serbia’s capital, is connected with it by the Belgrade-Bar railway line. The village is just 13km away from Uzice, centre of Western Serbia’s tourist region.
